The translation of fashion and beauty journalism from French to English for online magazine Paris Planetfashion. In my first job as French to English translator, I made enormous efforts to turn the purple prose of the French articles – often concerning miraculous perfumes that transform the wearer’s life - into readable, reasonable English. I didn’t always succeed.
