Film : German-English subtitles for Thomas Riedelsheimer's Seelenvogel

The translation of English subtitles from the German for Thomas Riedelsheimer's new full-length documentary, Seelenvögel (Filmquadrat, Munich). This is a very beautiful and heartbreaking work of art which follows three children with leukaemia, and their families. I feel privileged to have worked on it. It is also my first feature-length film as principal subtitle translator, and working on this documentary, I learned a lot about the importance of and the challenges of translating unscripted words and conversations extremely accurately, particularly those in regional German dialects.
